The most common reason for lower back and hip pain can be shortened leg extensors (constantly bent legs).
Due to this shortening, the lower back has to compensate to bring the body back into an upright position - this leads to pain.
This overloads the lower back and causes adhesions in the fascia.

At some point, the tissue adapts to the permanent shortening. Muscles and fascia then become unyielding. This unyielding tissue develops a forward tensile stress that the back and especially the gluteal muscles must counteract.
The counterforces are particularly strong when standing: the hip flexors (e.g. psoas and iliac muscles) pull on the spine and pelvis. Counter-players such as the gluteal muscles act against this.
The opposing forces (tension through shortening, counter-tension through stretching) exert enormous pressure on the vertebrae and intervertebral discs. The body warns of the impending damage with pain.
